We are so proud of our Research Assistants who won various grants and fellowships to support their summer research. Research assistant AC Christakis won the Richter Fellowship and the Dean’s Research Fellowship in the Humanities and Social Sciences to support their thesis research in the lab this summer! Lizbeth Lozano also won the Dean’s Research Fellowship and will officially join the lab as an RA this summer! We are also celebrating RA Zahra Yarali, who won the Thomas Barry Travel Fellowship to pursue a moral/developmental psychology research internship in Istanbul this summer!

Undergraduates Lauren Okine and Jessie Cheung received the Yale College Dean’s Research Fellowship in the Humanities and Social Sciences AND the Richter Fellowship. Both of them will use this funding to spend the summer as research assistants in the lab! Congrats Lauren and Jessie!

Dr. Leonard won the Yale Planetary Solutions Grant in collaboration with Dr. Luke Sanford, Assistant Professor of Environmental Policy and Governance. They will use this grant to explore the psychological drivers of pro-climate behavior in teens.

A big congratulations to Dr. Leonard, who received the Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship! As a fellow, she will examine individual differences in the factors that support children’s persistence. Dr. Leonard hopes this work will inform the creation of personalized interventions to help children persist in the face of challenges and form healthy habits.
